An educated guess at how many survived the ATL 1983 Soviet attacks by UK County, Metropolitan District, N.I. District, Shire district and London Borough of 1983 as a % of the OTL 1981.

An educated guess at the still struggling nations found 52 years after the 1983 Soviet atomic attack in the UK.

The idea[edit | edit source]

This is an educated guess with relevant publicly available data at how many people would have survived the mooted 1983 Soviet nuclear attack on the UK, assuming that a theoretical 'nuclear summer' or 'nuclear winter' did not happen, but obvious supply failures and epidemics did happen!

The results will be divided by UK County, Shire Borough, Metropolitan District, N. Irish Distract and London Borough of 1983 as a % of the slightly different 1981 population levels.

The big cities that got nuked like Guilford, Basingstoke, Oxford and Leicester are shown with differing losses since some like Oxford and Leicester border close to the town boundaries, while others like Guildford and Basingstoke spread out heavily in to the suburbs and local commuter-belt. Military, industrial, administrative and transport centers would also be hit.

Due to the large areas involved, population variations, uneven nuking patterns and\or terrain differences, ect. the counties are sub-divided in to their borough councils.

The nations that possibly have occurred 52 years after nuking?[edit | edit source]
