Welcome to The Politics Wikia! This is the online home of political history, political studies and electoral results.

Politics refers to a set of activities associated with the governance of a country, or an area. It involves making decisions that apply to members of a de facto ruling group.

There are many forms of political organization, including states, non-government organizations (NGOs) and international organizations such as the United Nations. States are perhaps the predominant institutional form of political governance, where a state is understood as an institution and a government is understood as the regime in power.

Political history is the narrative and analysis of political events, ideas, movements, organs of government, voters, parties and leaders. It is interrelated to other fields of history, especially diplomatic history, as well as constitutional history and public history.

This video should serve as an approximation. (Especcially in the messy parts.) Typical issue would be: GTD had sometimes the "at least" casualties or it splitted one terrorist incident into many (Istanbul Bombings of 2003, Casablanca bombings of 2003). This is why some incidences are not accurately represented on the map. It's a tiny fraction though. Also, I like to point out that I used different definitions of terrorism regarding the area and time of attacks. About the copy at the end: Historians debate about whether terrorist groups are destined to fail or not. Some say that authentic terrorist organizations achieve partial goals only. Many regard John Brown (approx. 150 years ago) as the most successful terrorist till this day – But you might read the essays: "How Successful Is Terrorism?" (James M. Lutz and Brenda J. Lutz) and "Why Terrorism Does Not Work" (M. Abrahms) and you will find out what this message is exactly about: Deterring potential future terrorism by education.

Axis.	Left side.	Right side.
Economic type.	Socialist/Left-wing Higher taxes and spending, internationalist, a command economy, government regulation of business, nationalisation.	Capitalist/Right-wing Lower taxes and spending, light regulation, private industry, non-internationalist, a market economy, competition and free markets.
National identity.	Globalist Pro-EU, non-internationalist, co-operate and share sovereignty with other countries, put global interest above national interest.	Nationalist EU-sceptic, internationalist, put the home nation first, have the home nation has sovereign, controls on immigration, laws made in the home nation not internationally.
Social Values.	Socially Liberal Permissive, allow people to do their own things, accepting of minority rights, multiculturalism, religiously tolerant.	Socially Conservative Traditional, value authority, supportive of dominant culture, religiously bigoted, hates minorities and moral majority.
Civil liberties.	Anarchist Permissive, allow people to do their own things, accepting of minority rights, weak central government and soft with policing.	Totalitarian Dictatorial government, value strong authority, supportive moral majority, pro-surveillance society and tough with policing.
Heath care.	Public Public health coverage. Health care facilities are largely owned and operated by the sate, but local community hospitals in are either for-profit firms, non-profit charities and\or run by the state (the most), regional government and\or governors. Coverage and facilities are available to all who need it, plus a moderate reserve incase of a terrorist attack, pandemic or natural disaster, etc.	Private Private health insurance. Health care facilities are largely owned and operated by private sector businesses, but local community hospitals in are either for-profit firms, non-profit charities (the most) and\or run by regional government and\or governors. Coverage and facilities are limited to those who can pay for it, plus a small reserve incase of a terrorist attack, pandemic or natural disaster, etc.
Military and diplomacy.	Globalist\passivist Pro-UN, internationalist, only intervenes to uphold international law or end a humanitarian crisis, tries to get on with it's neighbors, co-operate and share sovereignty with other countries, helps vulnerable stes, put global interest above national interest.	Tankies\Expansionist Anti-UN, put the home nation first, bullies near by nations, hates vulnerable states, invades others with little or no legal basis, causes man made humanitarian disasters (the Holocaust, etc.), breaks international law, laws made in the home nation not internationally.
